Ron Carter is the premier American jazz bassist with a unique sound and a long history in jazz recordings. He appears on more than 2500 albums, perhaps most famously as a member of Miles Davis' 1960s quintet.

At view.com, the leading producer and distributor of Jazz on DVD, we offer "Ron Carter & Art Farmer: Live at Sweet Basil," an intimate concert DVD of a historical performance at the famous NY jazz club by a collection of jazz legends sharing one stage. The all-star group consists of Ron Carter on bass, Art Farmer on trumpet, Cedar Walton on piano and Billy Higgins on drums. In addition to the concert, this DVD also contains the rehearsal sessions that brought forth the creation of original music for this DVD performance, and Ron Carter offers an inside look at the collaboration of these famed jazz greats.

Ron Carter also performs on other live concert DVDs available at www.view.com. They include "Herbie Hancock Trio: Hurricane!" and "Antonio Carlos Jobim: An All-Star Jazz Tribute."
