Our Vision For The Future

Arkadia Jazz is a new record label for a new era, which aspires to become one of the most influential independent jazz labels of the future. Our first releases include inspired recordings by Billy Taylor, David Liebman, and Benny Golson, as well as by exciting newcomers Nova Bossa Nova, and Moscow Sax Quintet, who have all become part of the Arkadia family. Another aspect of our musical quest is the discovery, remastering, and release of historic recordings, such as those made by master gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt with guest Coleman Hawkins.

The search for equally remarkable talent — already established or yet-to-be discovered — continues.

Our goal is not only to release the highest quality state-of-the-art recordings available, but also to perpetuate Jazz through the ongoing development of our artists and their music.

Arkadia Jazz is a record label that combines a healthy respect and high regard for Jazz’s glorious past with a vision that looks eagerly and expectantly forward to Jazz’s bright future. We seek to accompany our artists on their musical journey and to provide guidance, support and encouragement. Our commitment to our artists and their development only begins in the recording studio. We continually search for new, innovative, and untried ways of bringing their music to the public. Whether it be in the multimedia or interactive arenas, publishing, radio, video, the Internet or some as yet undeveloped medium, our mission is to help create an unforgettable music experience.

Our commitment is to Jazz and its creators, to an art form whose future lives on and grows as it continually develops and evolves. Through our artists dedication to their craft, and our dedication to our artists and their art, we shall continue to prove that Jazz music is growing and does live on.
