Arkadia Chansons is a label dedicated to keeping alive the artful and consummately entertaining music of France and Europe's great entertainers, such as Maurice Chevalier, Charles Trenet, Edith Piaf and others.  Possessed of style, energy, and passion, these magnetic entertainers were the minstrels of 20th Century Europe, performing songs which became a part of the everyday language of the street, of the café and of the boardroom.   Culled from a vast archive of historic recordings, Arkadia Chansons plans to release several new titles a year.

Great efforts have been extended to obtain recording materials as close to the original source as possible.  Once obtained, these materials have been completely remastered with today's state-of the-art technology, in order to enhance the recording as much as possible.  Care, however, has been taken to remain faithful to the sounds of the era in which they were made.

In addition new liner notes have been created and rarely seen period photos have been found to create a new graphic look for the series.

All of these collections are priced at only $13.98, in order to make this music affordable and available to a new audience, as well to old fans.
